Thinly slice a four-inch piece of leek into long straws. If using onions, thinly slice onions into nice rings.
Splash some milk (a small amount) onto onions/leeks. Add enough flour to dust the onion/leeks. Flash fry in oil until crispy and golden. Place on paper towel to cool.
These are delicious toppings for any soup…especially potato soup!
